Anyone know anything about the pumps on these ?.
issue is its lost all functions !, I’m told it was intermittent it would work quite normally and then just go really slow. Lifting the armrest a few times would get it back going again eventually but now it does nothing.
ive checked the switch’s and the 2 solenoids nr the pump (1 is the deadman the other 2 speed tracking), both have power and both appear to be working.
I did a pressure test on the main pump and got very little pressure but was expecting that as no functions where requiring oil for it to swash up (could be on the wrong track here tho), it appears to me that it’s lost its pilot pressure.
Is the pump on the end of the main pump a gear pump and supplies the pilot circuit, if it is a gear pump there’s very little pressure only 300 psi as full revs and that rapidly falls to 125-150 tops !.

A service manual would be the thing to have but can’t find one for love nor money, any help would be appreciated !.

thanks.

The pump on the Hanix is probably made by Nachi hydraulics. You are correct in thinking that the gear pump on the rear is for the pilot pressure. You will need a constant 300 psi or the main spool valve won't operate. Not sure where you can get a manual from, I've only spoken to Hanix once. From memory they were very helpful.

It is a Nachi pump a PVD 2B, I got it today to actually do something, I’m not sure what I’ve done to get it to do it tho !. It will now move all functions but not at the correct speed or pressure, for example on pulling the joystick for boom lift the main pump swashes the boom lifts but only with around 1000 psi (my Takeuchi with a 15B pump for the same service will provide 2300 psi). The only thing that does appear to be working correctly is the AUX circuit, with a gauge on the gear pump which now runs 300 psi constant and then with AUX engaged I then get 800 psi (same as on my Takeuchi).
With everything now doing something all be it not correctly the spool block does sound as if there’s air being pumped round in it (cavitation ?).
When I first struck it up it did hardly move and everything slowly got better till it ended up working as above, it’s almost as if it’s got an air lock.
Kind of don’t know where to go with from here, 2 other people have been out to it before me 1 being T C Harrison another an independant digger guru and 1 of the owners chaps has had a go at it aswell.

I bought a used Hanix micro digger last year and after speaking nicely to Hanix uk they emailed me both the operators, parts and service manual. I think they may have gone into receivership recently though. You could try posting on the plant talk forum, www.planttalk.co.uk

You need to get mobile flow meter and pressure gauge installed between the main hyd pump and spool valve. That way you can see if the pump flow is dramatically dropping when the pressure increases.

Heavens, sounds like it’s been well played about with then. It possibly is drawing in air on the intake or perhaps wasn’t correctly re-primed if emptied of all of its oil. Did someone attempt a filter change or oil change on it?

It’s been run low/out of oil twice, had a new hyd oil cooler fitted and a new set of filters. I don’t know if there’s a suction strainer in the tank or if theres any gauze on the inlets to the pumps, that’s next on the list to find out I think.

oh and the boom drops on its own so theres an issue there aswell somewhere.
