All sorts of things can cause a tremor, like trapped nerve, inflamed nerves, temperature, some diseases etc. Some tremors can be felt on the "inside" but are not visible. Have you had it long?

I have a nose twitch that starts when I get tired - but I don't think it is visible.
Just a "hop".

As above I have done a bit of research into the whys and it would appear that most aren't overly serious or cause for too much alarm, a GP would give you the best advice but is often just a nerve under pressure, nerves are funny things like that.

Have you got tension headaches/knots/ cricked neck or anything along those lines?
Even winter itself can cause things to be more noticeable - less fluid intake, more awake time under lights etc.

Had it at least 25years, and it’s slowly got worse. Apparently it’s what’s known as ‘essential tremor’, basically a term used for any persistent tremor that has no apparent cause. Most essential tremors are seen in hands: it seems extremely rare for someone of my age (I’m 55, but as said, I’ve had it for many years) to have a bad head tremor. You do see the odd 70+ year old with a head tremor.
