Horsch CO4 control box problem

We have a CO4 with the 2 side by side control boxes. It's always been temperamental but now whenever we try and calibrate it the control box goes back to 'Horsch v21' as soon as we set the feed roller going. Has anyone else experienced this, and fixed it?

Sounds to me like you have a short somewhere. You need to start by heckling all the mini din cables. Being careful with the little plugs and pins. Also check your power connections are they too the battery? Good and clean? Also the late cable down the drawbar. Has it been nipped at all?

We have previously checked the wiring pretty carefully and there's no sign of damage. It has always gone back to standby if the tractor is left on tick over so we wired it direct to the battery with decent cable but that made no difference either. Control boxes went to Daved King last year and they thought they were OK. Seems to be getting worse but we just cannot isolate the issue

I'm afraid the only option with agtron on one of those is swap nos ticks. You need a box of bits to try. Personally I'd start with a power module then a motor module. If you get hold of your dealer or someone at horsch they may be able to lend you some to try..
