How long can you make an address?

Stareted writing the address on the envelope and realised i may need an A4 size for the address!

I would truncate that to 3 lines, line 1, line 4 and the postcode. Always works. That's what the postcode is for.

It was sent as a joke and a bet, but I got it in less than 2 weeks after it was sent.

Today it seems you would be better off posting things by hand if you really want them to get there

Pre postcode days, Mum got a letter and the address was Mrs *****, Cwm ******, Wales.
I wasn't surprised it made it. I was surprised that it only took 3 days and had no redirection writings on it!

It's always gov departments (usually pointless ones) that have the longest addresses.

I had to send some paperwork to the bank for a new loan agreement so sent it recorded delivery.

2 months later it came back with a note on it saying the 'addressee has gone away', my postie said for anything important don't put any postage on it as they never loose those ones.
