It's typical government employees wasting time & money doing things the longest way, knowing they are not paying for it, there's no rush & they knock off at 4.30 or 5.00.
They're alright Jack, with their gold plated pension & plenty of holiday.
Like Sid, my name & address is
Bruce Almighty
L********** Farm
W******
C*** ***

4 lines is all it takes

Many years ago I received a postcard from Greece to:-
Carole who lived in Greece
House opposite the pub
next to the phone box
village above Newhey
Rochdale
England.

It was sent as a joke and a bet, but I got it in less than 2 weeks after it was sent.(y)

Today it seems you would be better off posting things by hand if you really want them to get there(n)

we all blame the postal service for lost mail sometimes , whether it be true or not , but the long and short is that they hardly ever lose it , as it usually gets there eventually

I had to send some paperwork to the bank for a new loan agreement so sent it recorded delivery.

2 months later it came back with a note on it saying the 'addressee has gone away', my postie said for anything important don't put any postage on it as they never loose those ones.
