How much do agricultural machinery sales people get paid

I remember being on a Lemken trip 6 or 7 years ago.
Before the actual factory tour the export manager gave a presentation on where they were at, where they had come from, market share, turnover increase etc.

For the actual tour they split as into 2 groups. Our group was shown round by the retired export manager.
Mid way through he managed to drop into conversation “Neils may have a bigger turnover than I did but i sold many, many more machines than him” :ROFLMAO:

Was a good tour. Viktor Lemken joined us for lunch & waved us off from factory the next day. Don’t usually get that on such trips.
I'm sure the current manager would claim that the many, many more machines were all much, much smaller.

Lies, damned lies....

@Robt also said he doubled the number of machines sold too

No doubt it took a lot of energy and skill

And now I don't blame him for wanting some work / life balance back, time to enjoy the family - and also the Coastguard service

I admire those that put so much in
I know of 3 combi drills and a sky drill within 20miles of here, so that's a small fraction of his area

The guy told me there is no way some one can get a bonus like i said , now he can think what he like some people do get lucky & get big bonus it part of life , some people are cut out to work in sales & some are not , that 2 is part of life, in life you make your own way & if you are not happy with what you are doing then do some thing eles , I only tell it like it is , I have met this guy in dealers yard one day a few years ago & you make your own mind up to how you find people
He met you an all. #nuffsaid

Probably more like 30k...

Plus the addition tech and it's not too difficult to see where the extra money is going. Bloody things almost drive themselves these days...
Needing to start building machines like MF 6400s, New Holland TMs and MX Maxxums again... They never will though because of emissions, then people want the thingymajigs and doodas that they dont really need. Personally hate machinery doing things for me as it never does it as good as I can, then goes wrong and you're stumped.

Out of interest what did you do to improve it so much or even what we're they doing wrong? Fairs if you don't want to spill the secret sauce but
Nothing was being done wrong. It’s about getting the right team that gel. Getting the correct dealer network and following up every enquiry. Getting back to basics of great comms and focusing on the team as they are the best asset to any business. You can have the best product in the world but if you don’t respect your team and help them to grow and develop then you won’t have anything
