How about about a sticky on how to post pics on this snazzy new forum!

I'm trying to send pics in a conversation of something I would like to sell as well with no luck.
Let me feel the fibre of your fabric!

I guess they still have to hosted, tractorsearch?

Thanks

Here goes!

There is a button to the bottom right when writing your post called 'upload a file' this will enable you to add a file upto 1 mb to the thread.
The exact same should apply during a conversation.

If bigger files are required they can be loaded onto trasctorsearch, flicr etc then the link inserted by clicking on the picture of the 'tree' above your text. (bottom row, 4th from right).
Videos the same, but using the 'film' button, 3rd from right.

Hope all this makes sense, and more importantly, works!

If have file sizes above the 1mb limit you can compress them using image optimizer to compress them and reduce the file size significantly. http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Pages/Home.aspx

I use photobucket personally, as it has a good thumbnail feature on it so you can upload a small thumbnail that when opened then displays the full size image. Somthing like this below.

Also been alerted to another method of thumbnailing or size reducing ideal for larger images.
If you copy the image url you want to use from your web hosting you can use IMG tag options to limit the size of the image.
You use the codes below where X is the height of the image and Y is the width of the image. If you use one or the other it will keep the aspect ratio the same for the image.
Code:
[img height=X] Insert image url here [/img]
[img width=Y] Insert image url here[/img]
[img height=x width=Y] Insert image url here[/img]
