February this year has been too good to be true.First time in my entire 60 years here i have seen daffodils out in the third week of this month.

Last year we went from 'third winter' to 'summer'. Perhaps this year we'll do it in reverse

February is actually a winter month. March is the start of spring,the forward forecast shows rain everyday then.

We've yet to have Blackthorn Winter. The buds are there, waiting to blossom.

Once they start, we'll have 3 weeks of colder, wetter weather. How cold, and how wet will be influenced by the jet stream, I think.

It's only 3 weeks since there was an unexpected dump of snow around yere - as a niece reminded me.
