insurance for unregistered tractor

Hi everyone
So other half is in process of getting a registration for his david brown 990 and he's just received his letter of authentication from the tractor club. So now it's time to fill in the v55 form for the DVLA. Amongst other things it requests for a copy of insurance. I'm just wondering if we can actually insure it without a registration? Does anyone know and if so can you recommend an insurer who will insure it without a registration? Thanks

Just insure the tractor on the serial number off the chassis, then change it to reg number when you get one, nfu will do it

Nfu have done that for my quad bike

Thanks all sorted now, he rang nfu and they have just added it to his policy for his mf 165.
