King tony ratchet TORX !!!!!

Hi anyone ever have trouble betting the torx screws out of a ratchet before there T20 and they wont budge im after sheering two bits and twisting one. any one got any ideas on how to solve the problem

Put the bit in and give it a smart clout with a hammer? ?

As above or use a pin punch, it will also tighten the slots.
Next up heat.

I am guessing the threads have had a bashing or been loctitted in. Gentle heat will soften the loctite without discolouring the finish.

I've never had it open so id say it's prob loctite tried hitting the bits in already to no luck. For heating it up do ye think the oven will do the job as I don't want to use torches as I'm afraid of destroying the finish. Any idea what temp I need

Anything above 250°C will soften the red stuff

A lot of the time boiling water does the trick. I got told it's 70°C for most common types of loctite.

Yes it seems to depend on the colour / type used.
