magnetic sweeper

was in machine mart other day buying another excellent cyclone mag pickup stick thingy .
sales man tried to sell me a 36" wide magnetic sweeper , did not know they did one looked good anyone got one ? or similar on two wheels pull summin and it de mags so bits come off , seemed abit pricey but cheaper than a flat tire £60 ish.

yes he has . must be 4 or 5 metre wide and has industrial magnets on them . mounted on a frame above a metal sheet . mounts on the front linkage when he wants to get the metal off drives to transport trailer lifts over bed which has solid floor and operates ram which lifts vmagnets away from metal sheet and metal falls onto floor of trailer. and boy o boy are those magnets strong took two people to get someones steel toecap boot off it

I've seen some for sale on military surplus auction sites. Seems that they use them to sweep airfields to find odd bolts, screws and stuff before they get sucked into aircraft engines and tyres. They were about 8 feet wide and probably made to fit on airfield sweeper trucks.
