Finally this field is showing itself. Heavy rain after drilling lead to capping. The muck that was spread has now mostly been pulled in by worms. A few broadleaf weeds, a couple of wild oats so hopefully will have a saving on weed control.
We have the warmth and its motoring now. Weed control has worked well and i dont think its a bad first attempt at strip till maize. I have some thoughts on how to improve fertilising the crop.
