Model Rocket Launch Site Reqd ~ North-West

Hi all,

Firstly, apologies if this is being posted in the wrong section. I'm looking for land for me and my 8yr old to launch some small model rockets. If you've never seen them before, they're generally constructed of a cardboard tube with balsa fins & a plastic nose-cone. The noise is comparable with a small firework rocket but without any bang or report, instead a parachute pops out and the rocket floats back down. They leave no mess behind and can be pretty cool to watch.

We don't need a huge area, but the more space we have then the less chance of them drifting off into the distance never to be seen again. I am more than happy to pay a couple of quid as a way of appreciation.

Ideally looking for somewhere within 20 miles of St Helens but anywhere would be considered.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Karl
