Just done 30 acres 5 mins down the road but a days notice. I said to the farmer £25/acre is that about right. 24 inches 3 metres apart.

I dont think you hurt him put it that way! But if a good neighbour and it may lead to other work you wouldnt have lost money so could be a good move.
But maybe watch your fuel etc on your own work then if someone asks you are armed with a reasonable price where both parties are happy.
I have started monitoring things closely I would like more work but dont want to be "the busy fool", I can then hopefully be in it for the long term.
