Ah ok thankyou would I need a different applicator? Just want to treat some cull ewes in wool, so just short cover needed.

As above anyone use it, how'd you find it?

It's considerably cheaper than Clikzin.

It's basically covect but cheaper.

8 days withdrawal so real handy if you've got culls or fat lambs that just need a short bit of cover.

Think its down as 4-6 weeks cover....... I'd work on 4 weeks being the likely.

You've got to be abit careful applying it to get the coverage as it supposedly doesn't spread around.
So use flat fan nozzle, I find its easiest to half or third the dose so that you have to pull the gun 2 or 3 times, seems more accurate doing it that way.

Don't use on a hot day esp under cover :dead::dead::oops:

As been said, I use like crovect. It's excellent at treating strike. As a prevention it only works where applied (won't work through fleece like clik or dysect).

Be really careful with it though....I always poo poo warnings...but spilt load of molecto down my leg last summer & I felt really really rough that evening. Worse than dysect.

A rep told me that the active ingredient in crovect was harmless to mammals but the carrier was a 25% solution of acetic acid which is a powerful irritant. I think one of its uses is degreasing sheet steel before coating.
Dilute acetic acid is vinegar btw.

Use a fan nozzle, not the T-bar.

You need to cover the animal, as it will not spread out.

For doing lambs, the best thing to do is shed lambs off their mothers and FILL the dosing race. Spray the lambs as you walk through them. They'll jump and climb all over each other - it gives a great spread and the lambs well covered.

i guess he's right if you regard an anti nerve enzyme chemical as harmless:eek::rolleyes:

Having got it on my skin, I will never use it to treat a lamb with maggots again. It burns!!! For hours. I couldn't sleep. And that was on normal skin, not raw skin. I won't subject a lamb to that.
