Do you feel the police are visible enough? Is crime under-reported? Help us protect rural areas, give us your views on policing and crime in rural areas.

In response to concerns from people living and working in rural areas, the National Rural Crime Network is launching the biggest ever survey of rural policing and crime.

In the face of shrinking budgets, it is important for us to better understand your experiences of policing and crime in your area. Have you suffered financial loss, been concerned or worried about safety or feel the focus is generally on urban areas?

If your answer is yes, then please complete the survey.

Have just received e mail about this survey from Devon and Cornwall police ringmaster. Please go to link in llamedos's post and complete survey. (Due to my superb computer skills I have been unable to post the letter mentioned below:banghead::facepalm:)

Dear All,

National Rural Crime Network - National Survey

Please find attached a letter from Julie Dowton, Chair of the Devon and Cornwall Community Watch Association (DaCCWA).
DaCCWA works alongside Devon and Cornwall Police to co-ordinate and assist in the management of our watch schemes and works with may other partners to highlight issues of importance for policing and general safety.
The letter contains a link to the front page of the force website where there is access to a National Survey on "Rural Policing".
This is an ideal time to collect the views of as many people in the force area as is possible in order to feed views back to senior police officers and government as to how the general public feel about the policing they receive and any concerns that might be held.
Please may I ask you to read the letter and complete the survey and make sure the residents of Devon and Cornwall have had their say in the impending debate.
Very many thanks for your time and kind regards.
Paul Morgan
