The current tennant is a good mate of mine, been there since 2003, the trust have only just bought it, prior to that it belonged to dean Saunders, who bought it in iirc 2001/2 from the farmer who owned it. Pretty sure he will remain there. It's not a place for everybody, mountain is harsh, and it's a harsh place in winter, very windy. Good buildings, silage pit etc, bungalow half a mile away. Constant hassle with dogs, tourists and thieving knobs. Also the bitch country park warden, focks everyone around, contractors who do work for the park strimming etc, my mate, everyone, she's a nightmare, who's also a member of PETA, or whatever, she's been rumbled releasing foxes on to the place that come by van loads, urban ones, like shooting fish in a barrel, most of the foxes starve to death, but a few are enough to cause damage. My mate and his old man are long used to all the goings on, all the wardens dirty tricks as well as the other issues. Anyone thinking it's going to be a walk in the park is very mistaken.
