New heifers running milk

To have near 40% getting mastitis,,wintering conditions cant of been very good, weather that is out on beet or cubicles. Do you agree?

Yep totally agree hence the change to sealing, mycoplasma in the cows passing onto heifers in the cubicles was what we narrowed it down to, heifers were in cubicles that were spotless so don’t think it was a hygiene issue
 
Some stack the parlour and do them there. I personally put them in the crush. Lift one lef off the ground and tube them from behind. I ware a head torch. Simple that way and safe.
well I bit the bullet and decided to orbiseal the incalf hfrs did 25 in about 2and half hrs by putting them in the crush and lifting one leg was very surprised how easy it was to do and how open some of the teat canals were so fingers crossed it will help reduce cases of mastitis at calving
