Nissan navara NP300 heater

We purchased a 16 plate navara in august. It has automatic climate control. Like the pickup, but since the cooler (frosty) weather I have became aware how long it takes to get up to a temperature to even defrost the windows let alone be acceptable to sit inside without a coat. It takes approximately 20 minutes of driving to get anything like an adequate temp in the cab. Are they all the same? We had a 55 plate ranger before and it only took 5 minutes to get a heat up. Feel as if we have went backwards!
TIA

My 16 plate Navara is the same. Not high spec enough for climate control but it does have air con. The heater takes forever to get warm and the air con really makes no difference whether it's off or on.
The D22 I had before it was fierce in the heating department! 5 mins and the screen was clear.

Same here also doesn’t seem a lot of variation between hot and cold
and does anyone have problem getting driver’s window up if it’s wet (very slow)

My one takes about 10 mins in the morning of brisk driving to get a bit of warmth in the cab, can't say its any worse than than the d22 i had previously. The heated seats are welcome on cold mornings

No issues with air conditioning, but i always run it in auto, so air con is always on, keeps moisture / condensation out of the cab this way

Not a Navarro but on Terrano the first thing to do when you buy one is change the thermostat from the 86 degree one to the 82 degree one so the water gets to the heater sooner. Makes a very big difference to warm up time.
Years ago cars had a summer or winter thermostat depending on time of year. Or you could just put a piece of card over the radiator like a lot did.
May be a similar fix for the Nav

Why don’t more new cars especially 4x4s where there’s a chance your getting in and out with wet clothes come with a heated windscreen to keep things clear

Try running the climate control in auto, or keep the ac on all the time, even when its in heating mode. Takes the moisture out of the air. I never get misted windscreens since i have been doing this.

Heated windscreens are handy on a frosty morning, our focus is great with this, but the small wires in the glass. Does tend to annoy me from time to time

Different gearbox. bigger brakes with disc at the rear.better seats, progrssive springs, tweeked throttle response, new middle dash.different wheels, but, it is all nice to drive compared to my old one, heater works ok in it too, maybe a little slow to heat up at first though but better than my old one. Actually like driving it. Not so good points, gears stretched too much ie: 30 in 4th is about 1100 revs and straining, springing more jiggly. may be other improvements that I have forgot. Do miss the fast tickover switch to warm up before driving that my old D22 had.
