Oily Exhaust

My B275 suddenly started blowing spots of oil all over me and itself. It reminded me of the glorious experience of working a Field Marshall. I could sense a job for Christmas coming along. I normally use 15-40 mineral Eurofleet in the engine and change it every 200 hours and it has survived on this without trouble for about seven years. The problem was confined to one cylinder so I looked for an easy fix and obtained some SAE20 Glaze Bust from Millers oils. Having changed to this I ran for four matches, during which time the problem decreased, and finally hitched up to four tons of trailer and went about four miles up and down the mountains of Norfolk. I drained the Glaze Bust, refilled with SAE30 and have just completed a match. The transformation is complete, no oil working up, and I am now consigned to purely domestic chores for Christmas entertainment !

Those indirect ih engines always been a bit prone to doing that unless they worked hard and get a bit of heat built up in them

These modern oils are often too good for old engines I find, the detergent in them seems to wash away years of built up sludge blocking the filters and making them leak like sieve..I had same issues with a dexta coughing oil up the pipe, a days hammering on a 6ft topper cured it

If it happens again, try and get it working hard on a rotovaror or something similar.
I know someone who had similar problems with a 35, all it did was road runs and runs round show rings. 3hrs on a dyno completely transformed that tractor

blimey is there mountains in Norfolk, you learn something every day,
if you can find a nice kind farmer that has a slurry store, you could go and pump some sh1t around there, nice even load on PTO, and can keep an eye on the tractor, an hour or so 2/3 times a year, does them the world of good

You must be joking. No living creatures left in Norfolk with loose stools. I think generating electricity with the old girl and feeding it back into the grid is the best idea.
