how do the likes of new holland manage it with the T6010s using a fixed gear pump and plumb the loader valve up using an LS valve? I suppose laziness is the major driving factor in this! if I fitted a PFC pump complete with compensator could I simply plumb into the compensator line and use that as the Ls Line??
I’ve no idea. Deere, MF and, if you say so, NH have used gear pumps with closed centre spools. Don’t think MF have offered it since early versions of the large chassis 6400 series, such as the 6485/90/95. Deere offered gear pumps on poverty-pack 6000 series and, for all I know might still do on entry level models in some series.
The plumbing and valves needed to achieve this is a mystery to me. If going closed centre, best not penny-pinch but go for a CCLS system which gives the advantage of low parasitic losses, high flow at low revs and far longer pump life.
