We get sparrows perching on the tractor and loadall mirrors and pecking the glass. So you get crap on top of the mirrors and peck marks all over the glass as well as some droppings.
Tried dropping an empty 25kg poly feed bag over the loadall mirrors and it did work. Only hassle is covering and uncovering the mirrors every time you leave the machine or want to use it again.

Do you think Mrs Paddington might object to having feed sacks draped over the windows though? She’s already apparently vetoed the perfectly reasonable solution of an inflatable scarecrow in the front room. Women......

I meant to chop down a shrub that I left last year because of a blackbird nest..... who did I spot making a nest there this year.... you guessed it! Maybe next year then ;)

Seriously though, it would be a shame to dispatch the bird. There are few enough songbirds about. Also, another will just move into the territory.
