Plastic film instead of net on silage bales.

Well, I thought that the film was a great job but iv 40 bales left that are a year old and they are not good at all. Would the balerman have put less black plastic on when using the film? I've had ones with net onjthem before for 2 years and they were ok.

Does your contractor not offer 4 or 6 layers and charge accordingly
I don't for this reason. If I offered 4layers it would be cheaper and some would go for it but then if they had some bales left over they would be complaining they were sh!t and telling everybody what a bad job I'd done forgetting all about the fact that they wanted the cheaper option. Heard of a lad that's just got the fusion+ and he's happy cause he can bale faster cause bales are wrapped faster only way there wrapping faster is he's putting less on and expecting chamber film to make up for it. He's happy now but may have some unhappy customers come winter

Without exception I put on 6 layers of everything i bale for myself. Customers have the choice of 4 or 6 and most still choose 4.

I’ve bales 2 years old now with 6 layers and they are absolutely perfect.

What type of wrap. I run silawrap and last year tried a few rolls of cheaper stuff in a German box that most of the other contracts here were running £3cheaper same number of bales per roll good tack but dad could tell when stacking that it wasnt the normal stuff so it never went to customers bales. All 6 layers here
