Yes definitely not so many spuds under a root this year and some really small ones that haven't grown at all and plenty of greens from baulks being washed away.plus one or three blighty ones so won't be much to put in store!!!price needs to reflect this later in season otherwise spuds are just not worth growing
Luckily we have 2 farm shops where we can shift 8 to 10 ton a week thro during peak times at a half decent price but if we were relying on the open market all the time like some of you guys must be then it's gotta be bankrupting.Even the paper bags cost over 30p each now
