Well could you chop the part with the eyes off and sell the other bit too a chip shop, all joking aside might be worth asking Cygnet if they have any Elland seed lurking around as a grower for chippy’s, seems to be a worthy variety to try!I know I must be grateful to get Agria seed but View attachment 1172322View attachment 1172324
Wouldn’t dare cut Agria, very prone to rotting. It’s not just the size, it’s the length and odd shapes. Have got a belt planter but not sure how it will work with the lengths.Cut them in half

Hopefully they’d be a better shape even if big! I could only get some 50/60’s off one merchant.Hope sagitta seed isn't that size or we are going to be seriously short
You manage with a structural? We’ve got a Meidema structural, any tips? Not easy planting big stuff
I know
I sumtimes have to plant
over 60mm but luckily can get the lend of a structural planter when the Grimme Cup can't manage
Sorry I don't drive the planter the fella it belongs to plants them for me if neededYou manage with a structural? We’ve got a Meidema structural, any tips?
We work miedema/dewulf planter , anything over 60mm I usually split grade so it’s 60/65 and then 65+ , find the 60/65 is ok just have to take time , the 65+ is where u get few more hassles but if u have them in couple bins , makes the 60/65 easier and less likely to block if that makes sense , don’t cut agrias eitherYou manage with a structural? Anyone planting yet? They are near me blackish land, very wet, quick subsoil in front of of the combined bed tiller/planter and away. Very surprised to see it.

It really doesn’t look good to me as someone with no clue, I’d have thought it needed opening up and leaving for a week to warm up.Had a dig around yesterday, still plenty wet and cold enough at a spades depth. A little frost mould, but not very deep at all. Will look to start wk beginning the 15th I reckon.
Are they hiring the land? There’s been some right balls ups around your area in previous years? It really doesn’t look good to me as someone with no clue, I’d have thought it needed opening up and leaving for a week to warm up.
going mad around here planting...guess they're all here cos everywhere else so wet
odd driving about seeing spuds being planted then bit further on heaps of beet waiting on collection
what's the truth about spuds?....I heard a very large arable outfit quitting spuds last week...10 staff in Yorkshire.. 6 in Norfolk gone
yet seems good on here
