[QUOTE="hendrebc, post: 8237788, member: 70166"] Early start with the mower tomorrow and the conditioner hood was flopping about like a pile of jelly the brackets holding it in place were broken on both sides. Just wanted something that would do for tomorrow before I fix it properly for next time. Bale twine and even a ratchet strap didn't work so had to bodge a bracket somehow. Ended up with this and was so pleased with how well it worked for something I did so quickly I just had to take a picture 😂 Random bit of offcut steel with a hole in it. Split washer off the floor shoved in hole so the bolt head didn't get swallowed and I could out a spanner on it. Welded random bit of steel onto the broken bracket and bolted everything back together. Big washer holding the cracked hood on is new as is the bolt but they did come in a box of random misfit stuff I was given by someone having a clear out because they know i use odd stuff to do things like this. All done by torchlight for extra bodge points as I've only just finished. More bodge points because I've only done one side the other can wait till I do it properly. Only needs to hold one day.
