Just renewed my rtx rangepoint from Trimble store yesterday. Gone up from £220 to £265 in a year!
Got pass code back straight away by email. Entered into 750 screen and instantly recognised it. Don't know if that helps you?

£220 + VAT = £265?

Renewed mine yesterday too. Normally use passcode to upgrade, but there was an "over the air" option so I chose both. Seem to remember it's not possible with RTX but thought I'd check.

Didn't see the over air option. Just looked at invoice and vat element is £0 as other years. Just hope it doesn't go up by that amount (£45) each year!
Take it you paid the same?

Just checked again and you're right. To be honest I hadn't even noticed the 20% increase. Thanks for pointing that out.

It's still very good value, but a hike like that without explanation does seem rather unjustified.

Some one on here said last month that it was going on the 1st of September i thought it was going to be £250.00

Omnistar pricing is a total ripoff!

Not sure why you'd spend that much on an annual sub, for a technically and practically inferior service.

You can buy RTK subs for less money, besides which RTK is more accurate, truly repeatable, converges 100 times faster and doesn't dropout due to being reliant on a geostationary sat for corrections.
It does depend what system you have though! One well known system you need to buy the unlock to Omnistar then on top of that the unlock to RTK and also the RTK radio receiver. That's a lot to spend in one go. If you can buy the unlocks one at a time and gradually get to RTK it's less of a shock to the bank balance in one hit!

Our case is on omnistar I've tried the centre point this year to see if it is worth the extra, if not I'll drop back to rangepoint next year.

Was quoted £3995 for the unlock, RTK radio and joining fee for RTK coverage.

Centrepoint was £995, if RTK is £500 per year that means an extra 8 years to pay it back?

CapEx on the receivers will be dependant on manufacturer and whether they front load or back load the costs of unlocks as you move through the steps.

The cost uplift here to go from an Omnistar enabled receiver to RTK enabled (the RTK module includes mobile and UHF radios) was just under £2K. Last Omnistar sub was about £830 per year, and will be more now. So on those figures, with cheaper RTK subs the payback is a lot shorter and the overall cost, CapEx and OpEx over 5 years was approx. £500 premium for RTK.

Unfortunately my Ag Leader GPS 2500 antenna is not unlocked for RTK, if it was I would buy radio and go on RTK right away. And only RTK unlock is like 3-4000 Euros, it is some crazy number.
