Ransomes PM/Square end Skimmers and discs assemblys

A friend of mine is after some skimmers with the square end, the ones that go in front of the disc. Also he is after the disc assembly's that go with them to hold on the skimmer arms. I have a pair that I have had for donkeys years but that was when nobody wanted them but nowadays they are like gold dust. Does anybody know where he can get some.

I think you are referring to Ford plough skimmer assemblies. I bought a pair a couple of years ago and they work fine. I think mine came from Westlake but I have also seen them on ebay occasionally. They are easy to adjust and you can get the skimmers well forward if you wish. In this respect I countersink the discs and use countersunk socket screws to secure in order to avoid fouling the skim.

It would be a long journey from Cornwall to Peterborough. But on the other hand it would be worth it. The only thing is I would end up spending ten times more than I wanted to. At least everything I buy from there will be in good condition and not worn and twisted.

It was a long trip from dundee to Peterborough.........and back in 1 day but glad I did as his yard is an aladdins cave and a real eye opener

Plus when I told him what I wanted he originally showed me the wrong stuff, which would have resulted in extra carraige
