Have had a email from SAC (our advisers) asking that as we are in an AECS contract to contact RSPB to allow them onto our land to carry out a bird count for CWWI.
The email also emphasises this Bird count will be needed for any future application.

Would any of you welcome RSPB on to your ground?

Having a bird survey done is helpful if you want to get into AECS in the future. Or reapply in your case. Scores more points.
Thanks @Crex . Just starting new 5 year scheme, which I thought was well thought out to fit with our system.

Started IACS form last night and keeps telling me that not meeting greening requirement. This was applied for by SAC Consulting on our behalf. (That was to get extra point for linkage). It is a 5 year commitment and if they have screwed it up and going to cost us significantly, may withdraw from scheme.

Don't know if I'm understanding you right, but greening and AECS are completely separate things. One shouldn't cause an issue with the other. Unless you are an arable farmer, I've no idea what they need to do.

Not sure that's ture. Some schemes do count towards greening.

What choice have you got? Say you think to withdraw, why not let them do the survey first then if it sound too much hassle withdraw then. I know farms that have rspb reserves on them. I'm sure it's not all plain sailing but they don't mind them either.
