Many are the days when I have sheared in oilskins and wellies because it was the only way to keep warm. That is in a shed as well! Sea mist drifting in over the coast saps the warmth out of you.
First batch of yearlings done on Monday and no strike.

I've just been out on the quad. Woolly hat, gloves and my Swandri. It's cold out there and now it's raining too! No signs of strike yet but it's quite breezy up here. ;)

Dagged a few bums on Monday, timely too, one clump of muck with eggs on, non struck though. As in another thread I have had them struck on shoulders in May (n)

Im trying to get mine done before the sun comes out and silage kicks off. So far they are still in the field getting wet!
Hoping for a dry afternoon so I can get them home and housed overnight. Least I can get it off dry if its raining the next day

Had the majority of mine done on Sunday. 3 were struck on the shoulders - they hadn't broken the skin but were there. They look very happy with the wool off. Those that were not shorn were treated yesterday and had another 4 struck on the shoulders amongst them. I hate maggots!
