Spaldings were sold to the Japanese Marubeni Group a few years ago, and it looks like someone took the executive decision to reward Spaldings long established loyal customer base by making them pay through the nose to finance the acquisition (see previous thread regarding Harbro's prices). I like(d) the company, I like the reps. But there is something seriously wrong when in June I asked Spaldings, Pan Anglia and APM to quote for pattern parts and out of the 3 companies, Spaldings came 4th. How so? Well, their wearing parts turned out to be more expensive than the prices quoted by our local franchised Horsch dealer for OEM genuine parts (n)
