SPS how late?

It's worth the annual sub just for this, especially as the WAAD in Carmarthen have this year stopped carrying out a thorough check of applications at the desk.

Interesting. Where does this come from?

I arrived at Carmarthen at 3.00PM yesterday, and eventually left at 5.30.

I had a number of applications, and was under the impression they were checked.

For one client, I had all the information including field numbers , except the SN Sheet Number. Initially they proved difficult, but their attitude changed, when I told them, that if the wished to be awkward, that the sooner that SFP was done away with, and they were all out of a job, the better.

I am afraid I tend to be plain speaking and call a "sunt" a "sunt".

I did photocopy all the submissions, but if what you say is correct, need to check them again, and amend within the allowed time-frame.

Interestingly enough, although they closed at 4.30PM to paraphrase George Orwell's Animal Farm "All Farmer's are not Equal". Some get special treatment.

Shortly after 4.30PM, when the door had been locked, to all the farming plebs, the bell rang, and someone was admitted who had an appointment with Rita Jones.

I have no doubt, that his submission was thoroughly checked.

I took the application in as usual and, in every year past, the staff have checked the form in detail and took a lot of care over it.

This time the check was perfunctory and so I asked the attractive young lady across the desk and she explained that the policy now is just to check that there are no incomplete replies, but no other points are now checked at the desk before a receipt is issued. Previously, the staff would take time to go through the form and pick out errors but no longer, apparently.

May explain why there wasn't a long queue anymore.
