Is this bean nematode?

Did you use a pre em? If so what was it?

Defy/pdm/kerb but so did rest of area and looks ok. This field drilled last with seed from different merchant

Bean on the left looks like damping off. Bean 2nd on right looks like ascochyta. Is this a wet field by comparison to the others?

Every year I get some beans that look like that (even this year with bought seed on land with little history of pulses) so I just sow them thicker.............

I've done similar mixes and had issues which I put down to chemical damage. Very hard to quantify though.

From a previous Avatar I seem too recall you farm near Peterborough. Take a sample into PGRO at Thornhaugh.

Hmm looking at that dirt, I'm wondering if water is getting down on the seed and roots with air around them? Not the greatest seed bed, the one on the right I would say maybe lacking nutrients personally...

We're they sown with fertilizer?
