How much are you asking for to dispose of them? From what I hear the spud job is terrible here and on the continent even worse, with reports of spuds being dug and dumped on the headlands.

Just rang one firm who advertises them said he did not have any as AD plants nearby had taken them all at £35ton

Why would they dig them and dump them as opposed to just cultivating them in?

Was supposedly in Germany, my neighbour is a big spud grower and it was he who told me. If in contract ok, out of contract 8 euro/t, scary stuff.

I was told this week that in Belgium Quoters are coming back, based on a 3 year ave area.
So the Belgium farmer has grown far more this last two years so as to get more Quota.

If that's true, are they mad ?
