stopping emails

Bob i dont use Yahoo/Hotmail & Windows live mail, I've been online since 1999 & thats more than majority of people i know,i have however learned some valuable lessons and they are to avoid the above Clients they are known to sell email addresses to companies so everyone takes a load of spam! its how they can afford to keep the sites running & that is why its hard and complicated to stop them as the companies DONT want you to block em! i can however tell you after all these years the best FREE company who i get 100% no spam from and its a much easier iface to change/work with & that is Googlemail. Also avoid a company called "Mail.com" they are horrendous!! (See reviews) so what i am kindly saying is you maybe need to look at transferring your contacts to a new account/Email client (Thats what i recommend) or try these commands:
Click the icon at top left and then under Options select Safety Options. Lots of configuration in the various tabs

Untick "Automatic Filtering" & configure it yourself that way you can dictate what emails get through to you & review all the options you can...best of luck...

I can completely agree with that about Googlemail, brilliant, no spam at all comes through it.

Windows Live Mail has now changed to Outlook Mail. Not had any spam on it. I do get some, not a lot, on Apple Mail. None on Gmail [Googlemail] but shedloads on Tiscali [Talk-Talk].

However, the OP is just objecting to spam mail from this very forum. Best bet there is to set a Mail rule to divert mail from that particular address into a dedicated folder where it can be ignored and doesn't clutter the main folders.

So, if you've been online since 1999, you will of course know that Windows Live Mail is an e mail program whereas yahoo/hotmail are mail servers.
