Tag readers/scanners

Me and Northeastcrofter are looking at readers for our sheep what is the best type? And what do you all find best about them and the best ways to work on a computer or mobile? Looking for recording weights and sex to see growth rates?
Any Help will be much appreciated

My vote is for shearwell gear.

The stock recorder with farmworks software is brilliant for DLWG and all other recording. But expensive at £1500 (including software).
It also has a app for phone that compliments the the stock recorder but doesn't replace it.

I think you can use shearwells other program (Web based) NLMD, using a stick reader linked to a phone/tablet app to do DLWG, that would be about half the price of the stock recorder.

The Agrident AWR300/AWL 200 stick readers are really great value - from £485 plus VAT and can be linked with electronic weigh scales and pc software for full management recording and analysis. This short video looks at these two readers
