Time lapse camera

Can any one recommend a time lapse camera for an out door building project we've got on
Robust ,, simple to use, long battery life, value for money , would be more important than all whistles and bells,
Thoughts anybody ?

Thanks

Many post processing software programs will stitch stills together for a stop-motion video.

Personally I use the Panasonic G6 which does it all in-camera, but for long term and outdoor use in all weathers a trail camera is a safer bet. I have a Swann trail camera [I think it is] and it can be programmed to take regular shots and only between certain hours as you would wish, day in and day out until the card fills up. As I said, post processing can be used to create whatever you wish with the results.

Although I know that this can be done with post processing, it is not something I have ever wanted to do and so I have no real idea what software you need. Something tells me that Adobe lightroom and possibly Photoshop Elements can do this, but do check and do also realise that this software had a steep learning curve.

Also trail cams don't have a zoom and need to be carefully installed. Not great in low light either.
