I would let it die off completely and dry out then stick a match to it, it will clear the mess, break any dormancy of any viable seeds and also encourage fresh growth from any other seeds. Works wonders a good match!!

Have got 10 acres that i sprayed off 9 days ago, dying off nicely. Do I flail it down to the ground now its been round-upped? Then try and get more black-grass to chit through the summer?
You'll get little germinate in June/July/August whatever you do,

I did think that, flail it or not though, would tidy it up a bit.

Wish that were possible!

I think you'd be surprised, some failed SB that I sprayed off 2 weeks ago has one leaf BG growing very happily at the moment, a good thunderstorm or two would soon get some growth. As above I'd burn it then see what appears.

You must have some juvenile kids kicking around that you can blame it on!! Although by your location I guess you could be at the end of the runway so maybe not the done thing.

;) we are under the flightpath into the airport. One 3 acre field right next to a big house and another 7 acres of a 20 acre field right next to it not ideal burning locations unfortunately :(

Last year me and my brother spent 3 days with knapsacks and quadbike sprayer walking trams to spray out patches, this year I have only seen the odd plant in fields we walked last year and in the worst field I spent an hour and 2 knapsack loads spraying it out, this field was OSR last year and wasn't sprayed.

Well worth doing
