Seen a lot a scare reviews about Tooway Satellite broadband . As it's the rural answer to rubbish BT broadband has anyone got any recommendations or warnings? Keep reading speeds of up to 22mps which would make my life a lot better.

Apologies for being off topic, but has someone given BT a rocket? Suddenly they are offering us 15 to 22 Mbps after years of poor service. Also promising to go "well beyond" the 95% target for fibre coverage. Not before time, but good news nonetheless.

Not a patch on half a 3 G signal and ridiculous ly expensive, I'm on 80 quid a month and it's like constipation, last resort to nothing

As a fellow twoway customer I'd have to agree.

Better than nothing but seriously considering a data sim & dongle as must be cheaper / faster option. Any slower and I'd be better walking into town and posting a letter.

Live in a semi rural area, have BT broadband 99% excellent. When I need to complain though cannot get in touch with India. My mobile is EE, excellent, only place I cannot get a signal is my parents house 2 miles away?

Don't believe them! If you are further than a mile from the exchange or nearest fibre capable cabinet, then you'll be lucky to see 4Mbps. The technology for driving the "last mile" of copper is not as efficient as that they used for the all copper network. So if you are close you'll get a better service, but if you are over 1.5 miles you'll get a worse (like me :poop:)

We cannot get broadband via BT and mobile coverage is poor so we used Tooway satellite broadband .
We found it reliable there are cheaper alternatives but but it will work where no other system will, people knock it but it was our only way of accessing broadband
We changed to Quickline wireless broadband when it became available its great speeds are in excess of 10 meg
We pay £45 month for unlimited service which is split between 3 properties on the farm i think we paid £450 to install the equipment in all houses and office with wifi around all the yard and buildings
The drawback is it does need line of sight to their antena
