I'd be guessing that with use untill the bushes need turning ,the SALT, sealed and lubricated importance has long gone? How much more life is available after turning? And the cost effectiveness over buying new chains?

not salt tracks shame they didn't fit them .the newer tractors had them. we have had tracks done before but the hour clock doesn't work so not shure how many more hours it adds .new tracks are £1500 each

I dont turn them any more on our excavators or dozers, the cost / time remove them, transport them to a track shop and back, pay for the service, and re fit them is as much as buying new ones.

Crack on until they are properly goosed, then fit new chain and sprocket

well that's always an option. the sprockets are like new so it seems a shame to wear them on stretched chains . we had some done maybe 10 years back I think it cost £600 for the pair.crawfords want £900 and I have to remove the pads and get them there. £1190 if I leave the pads on

the pins and bushes only wear on one side where the pull is. you press them out then turn them so now the un worn part takes the pull and press them back in.so in theory doubling the life of the track chains

Just for geeks the pins are greased on assembly. That grease can dry out and chains require re greasing
Sounds b $$llocks but it cured me mates tracking issue's last year
He thought new chains ... they just stripped and greased .

Very quick and reliable.
Even managed to sort me new chains sprocket and rollers for my early 70s mf200 crawler loader. Without any issues hopefully they will see my days out. (y)
