Trying a cover crop

That was Neil Fuller's idea. Plant Xi19 in the spring into wide rowed Kent Wild White which is glyphosate tolerant up to something like 6 l/ha. 100 days to harvest and extremely low carbon footprint due to much reduced artificial N requirements.

I tried this for 2 years absolute failure, however with proper established clover it might work , but not that easy

I've read this a few times already but had forgotten the precise content. The clover was planted at the same time as the spring wheat. That wasn't NF's suggestion - he said to plant it in the previous summer.
