A rotary 3 way valve on the outlet of the pump and a couple of gate valves for filling from the pit into the back of the pump + one from the tank into the pump.
It took a bit of head scratching but it works a treat.
You still allowed to use a rain gun? They've been banned here. Quite enjoyed 'sludgigating' back in the day, you'll go a good distance with an umbilical pump and the wind behind youI've copyright on it.

Don't think we are allowed to put washings over the hedge. Was a good way to get slurry on to steep or damp ground, but i suppose some people over did it. Hardly ever see a tanker here with a rain gun now, used to be contactors round here with 3 or 4 of them
why did ban them ?
Would assume it was something to do with slurry getting into watercourses. The whole of Northern Ireland has been an NVZ for a good few years now and every year they tighten the rules up a bit more
