No. Think Bergen tools are now badged Am Pro.
Those toolboxes and chests from SGS would be hard to pass by if I was looking. Good firm to deal with.

Same kind of Roller Cabinets £550 in Homebase 72Inch. Look decent enough from what I saw... Just too High to live under a homemade bench or i'd have had it.

I have some US Pro tools and they are about the same as Halfords Pro.
Don’t know if they all are but the ones I have are very good. Have a small toolbox of theirs, that’s good too.

i could be accused of being a bit posh when it comes to tools but theres a lot there for 700 at the same time, they wouldnt interest me and i have no us pro tools but its kinda hard to argue with that price assuming the box and all comes with it.
i suppose if your only using tools now and again they might do grand.

imo, ive looked at manys a tool box (good quality brands) in the past and to be honest imo there is no tool box to touch a beta box if your willing to spend the money but at 700 it wouldnt get you much in a beta box.

others here that have the us pro tools will be more to go on tho.

Don’t go near SGS Engineering boxes what ever you do!!
I brought one and had a few warranty issues and they are now wanting to cut there so called 10 year warranty!
Needless to say Iam not happy.

I brought a 41” roll cab to go in a van.

Before I even parted with money I asked if it would be covered by the warranty to be told there would be no issue with it.

A month down the line and runners are failed. They sent me more no problem until I had more fail

To cut the story short they are not sending anymore rails and want to cut my warranty as it’s not covered in a van.

I’ve now removed it from my van and got a new snap on box the sgs box is now sitting in the workshop gathering dust and Iam out of pocket and trying to get my money back but it’s like getting blood out of a stone and they are a joke to deal with.

To be honest the box is rubbish, the draws open when your wheeling it around and its flimsy and wish I had of sent it back as soon as I unpacked it.

The box is 8 months old.

i see where your cumming from alright.

altho, and im not meaning to diss your purchase or you in any way but unless im badly mistaken there are toolboxes specifically designed to go in a van and they are different from the tool box youd keep in the workshop/shed, the van version is a lot dearer and stronger built to take the "flex" involved with mobile transport, they may have you there im afraid.

id say the best thing to do is put it to some use in the workshop, mount it static on a bench and use it from there, id say trying to get your money back at this stage id be like trying to push water up a hill but i could be totally wrong here and if i am im sure the other lads will correct me.

like i say, im not meaning to rain on your parade and im sorry for your woes here but perhaps this is one you just put down to experience and move on as bitter a pill as it is to swallow.

I know I’ve been buying snap on boxes for years for van use I was just trying to save money in the end and it bit me in the bum.

They shouldn’t of said it was covered in my eyes as they knew from the outset what I was going to do with it. Instead of saying no they wanted a sale.

Well, you have to speak as you find, and what matters with a company is how they sort problems, so looks like one to give a miss for tool chests then. Although I thought they were meant to be British made..
