I bought myself a Carrier XL 525 a couple of years ago, having looked at the original Carrier for years without finding it good enough to strike a deal. And I am really impressed with the CRXL, I mainly bought it for stubble work in cereals and for my maize land which I mainly manage without ploughing. The CRXL works great for both purposes, and it is no problem going deep if you want to. After 2 runs you can hit maximum depth even at my stony lands. When I bought it I had not so big expectations when going into ploughed land, but boy was I wrong. I would say this is probably the work where the CRXL shines the most. Previously I used my Väderstad NZG tine harrow 4 runs when sowing in grassland to get a really smooth surface to be able to hit high speeds during silage season. With my CRXL I run 2 times instead, and I believe the land is even more flat than after 4 runs with NZG. And besides that I have reduced my stonepicking by approx. 70 %, it is really a huge difference. Nowadays I only use my NZG when I am going to run the Kongskilde Stonebear to lower stonepresence on certain fields. My CRXL is from 2015 and I can say that they were not a finished product by then. Väderstad have been out two winters in a row to rebuild certain things, but all cred to Väderstad. Everything has been cost free and now I think it actually is a fully developed product!
