When I put the new set on and put the guideline 2 orange, 1 green clip on the rams I ended up with seed at 3” deep which was a touch too deep really 😂 still grew absolutely fine

How are people getting on drilling in these wet conditions with trash are they blocking? If you’ve had to plough the ground as it’s too wet and mucky on top what have you used in front of the drill if you are on heavy ish ground?

Getting on well it’s parked In the shed.

seriously couldn’t drill anything even if we wanted. The issue now would be slotting, we were slotting at the beginning of Oct now after 180mm then it would be a no chance

300ac of autumn drilling in to mostly sandy loam with plenty of stone, 20mm of wear on the weaving tines, negligible wear on the 12mm Bourgaults

I can’t help wonder if those Borgaults throw up too much soil and defeat the benefit of the thinner original legs though?

I was drilling some wheat last week with my Sabre, and I was reminded just how little disturbance this drill makes with its slender tines. I kind of feel I’d rather maybe replace them a bit more often, and not have the extra soil movement.

It’s a very impressive drill, I won’t deny.

We do offer a 13mm tip option (current Sabre tine Leg 12mm), however, due to the working angle of our tips soil does not tend to be thrown and flows around the tip a bit like a speed boat going through water compared to a tug boat.

Good to see. Are you getting less wear on the seed tube with our design??
Seed wear only occurs on the original tines when they start to get worn down, I doubt I’ll see much wear on the seed tube behind the Bourgault tube due to it being a bit longer than the weaving to start with.

Drilling beans today, Bourgault tines are having to run at 4” depth to get the already part worn Weaving’s down to 3”
