York, the global players want to sell you several tractors and various pieces of cultivation kit that are going to wear out after a few years not one small tractor and a drill that is going to last for 15 to 20 years..!
I've had similar experiences with companies in the States and Canada. Not even a response.
Same to a certain extent in the UK. Some of these companies must have no need of customers. If they don't respond they don't deserve them either.

Old John,
US in particular it's not the case that they are not needing but if they concentrate on their market it's just enough. Same in Canada. I know of a company, I was a little involved with, which only is asking: how many containers you want this year. A other one is not replying only when you come with money up front at their door. They couldn't be bothered on EU. Tooo complicated with the safety laws. Why should they be bothered. Russia & China is taking it as seen and they can't get more people to work for them as Oil boom in The shale oil industry is sucking up all the quality work force with very very high wages.
Don't know why my brother is still in Ireland and getting each year a wage cut with more work still to do to keep the job.

Yes, I know about them. Where offered to us as well and good to see they ended up in GB.
CNH has taken over the marketing of Semeato. With several 100 sold in France by the previous importer I haven't heard of any sales activity by CNH the last 2 years. A big Sima stand of them doesn't mean they are selling, or?
So I'm not surprised of your experience with them. similar to JD and their support of the 750 drill.
and every one is lamenting of the poor marketing of CS, and now look what the global players in Ag machinery are showing.

Just seen a set of pillar lasers and they are the closest to my openers I have seen. Mine could be an early version in the evolution.

Which is why I love my welder and metal working tools. I refuse to be a slave to the manufacturers.

Over here in the USA, all of the small, family operations are so backed up with orders, they cant keep up. Rears Manufacturing for example. I'm sure you have them in the UK and western Europe, especially in the orchards and fruit growing regions. They are local to me. Only about a 2 hours drive. All of the small businesses that I deal with are behind and getting further behind as the global losers continue to alienate their sales base.
