What to charge for sheep work?

Helped a neighbour out dosing, injecting, pour on his lambs. 2 of us, Used our prattley pens, he gathered them in we did everything else. Did about 700 lambs total. What would be reasonable to charge per hour plus use of prattley?

If the neighbour would be likely to scratch your back too (i.e. lend a hand) then I'd charge just a bit over minimum wage, times 3. That way it's not prohibitive for your neighbour and the basis for a good relationship, plus if you need their help in the future then you're not going to be sent a whacking big bill for it!
I think our minimum wage is $15.25 so I charge around $18-20 for most of that sort of work, and would charge my yards at the same rate.
Most of my sheep work is on a per sheep rate not hourly rate but I'd probably still put an hourly rate on the yards to keep the day moving!

£15/20 hour each, depending how skilled and efficient you feel you are and how much you value your time and skill.
Remember your first hour has to cover your travel time and vehicle costs etc so if your only there for an hour or two the hourly cost needs to be higher than if you were there all day.
With an additional £40/50 for hire of pratley.

Always very difficult to price when it's mates rates. Is he likely to do you a favour in return or do you owe him a favour?
If it's just commercial rates that you would charge anyone then decide what you and your machinery is worth!

Jesus wouldnt like some of you lads as neighbours. I try to look after the boys over the ditch and they look after me. It cant all be cold hard business. However if its a one way street all the time i would charge whatever you have to get and dont be shy asking. Everyone needs to live

Funny you say that. My first thought was "does he know he's getting a bill". Think I once got paid a dozen eggs for helping out with sheep :ROFLMAO:
