An interesting one I was thinking about the other day. I think Andy is right in that's the way the RPA understand it to be but I believe that technically midnight on the 16th must be when the day changes from the 15th. The reason being that if the clock changes to 0000 then at that moment it's the next day which on the 16th would be in about 6 minutes. It is the 15th until 23.59.9999999999999999 and then at that point is the deadline: 00;00 on the 16th

Surely midnight on the sixteenth means Monday night, because after that it's the early hours of Tuesday the 17th?

But 00;00 is midnight. 00:00 is the point at which a new day starts. So 00:00 on the 16th has just passed. The next 00;00 will be the start of the seventeenth day.
If midnight is actually at the end of the day then when does the next day start? 00:01?

Jeeeeeezzzzz, I'm a prime example of putting paperwork off until the last minute but, if I was that bothered about when the feckin deadline was, even I would have sent in off a day early to avoid having to have an existential debate as to when one day stops and another one starts :banghead:

Not worthless if it 'gee's ' along someone who has left it till last minute.

To anyone struggling i would say as long as fundamentals are sorted get the claim submitted .
also imho rather than struggling endlessly over minute detail ,a slightly underclaim is better than an over............. but anyway it 'needs to be in it to win it ' .

I do wonder why we have to do this every year. Most of us have the same acreage every year ? Different crops.......but so what ?
