Which Opinel Knife Did I Have?

Winds me up when the police describe my guns & rifles as 'weapons'

A cricket bat could be an effective weapon if you have the intention.

[Apologies for veering off thread]

I quite agree that many/any object can be a weapon, but i would argue most guns (excluding a dart gun used with sedative and race starter guns) have been designed and built as weapons

Weapon dictionary definition:
a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.

Also some knives are designed with the same intent but as a category of items i see them as different guns in their intent.

I have had lots of opinel and the brand I go to now is leatherman surge. would not be with out it as it is there heavy duty range and the pliers are larger. It takes jigsaw blades ( carry wood and metal blades I the poach) and and the diamond file uses the same holder use it to touch up the knife lots. This leaves space for a brilliant pair off scissors.

If I loose them I would not have a second though at buying a new set as they save so much time and are most definitely worth it but was given another surge for Christmas with had lost by hard graft engraved on it
Ps at £100 a knife but do it and you won’t regret it.

In B&Q a few years ago queuing at the checkout, the couple in front of me had bought one of those packs of timber bound with nylon straps. For some reason they wanted to open it and cashier had sent a message to Bert who had "the knife". After waiting two minutes I pulled out my Gerber and cut the straps for them. You'd think I'd pulled an AK47 from my trolley with the looks of horror all round.
I suppose Bert had to be checked by the police and be specially trained before being given the knife.
