Woodchip moisture meter

What kind of moisture measuring devices are there around, and what types are not too high in price? Or can moisture meters for hay and straw be used for woodchips with some different settings? I would like to have a measuring probe to get a bit of a feeling with drying chips. But I don't feel like spending thousands of euros for a probe...
