Your custom weather alert?

We're all familiar with severe weather alerts. And I think we all get enough email spam. What if you could get emails or SMS messages when your farm was forecast to get a simple rain or snow? Or the temperature was forecast to reach a set level?

I've built a custom weather alert service at www.ifweather.com. Some people I've talked to suggest it would be useful to golfers, photographers, etc. But would it be useful to farmers? If so how?

I grew up on a farm, so I know that farmers follow the forecasts closely already. Are there specific application where custom weather alerts would be more helpful? Like greenhouse farming?

Oops, I didn't mean to load the post with so many questions. I'm just trying to get a feel for if this could be useful to farmers.
